How would you all feel about giving the big Russian another chance when the dust settles?

Likely this season will be cancelled, so if he signs he would be fighting for a roster spot to start the year.

I mean, everybody deserves a 2nd chance, but the kid was only around for what 1 year, and then bolted because he wasnt getting the ice time he thinks he deserves... i dont see a 2nd chance playing out any differently, might stick around for a year or two and then run back to russia again.

training camp, see what happens, give him a deal if he stands above the competition.

When he played for the Canucks, the Dmen in that roster was so bad it made AHL team's look better. Aside from Tanev/Edler, there was literally no one.. Tryamkin outplayed the rest if not just as servicable. Players such as Guddy, Larsen, Sbisa, Hutton, Rookie Stecher etc.

So when you're outplaying almost all Dmen aside from Tanev & Edler, and then you get benched after playing a GG shift with 0 explanation, i don't blame him at all. Think about it, you outplay most of those chumps, then you got willie fucking D showing off his notorious stubborness by playing sbisa after his special pizza give away delivery, i would be speechless too. When Tryamkin tried to talk to the coach with his broken engrish to understand wtf is going on, what he needs to do, what he is doing wrong etc. He gets 0 explanation, rather the staff said wtf is wrong with him trying to talk to the coach. I woulda hella bolted back to my home country too, can't work with fucktard like that. Now that willie isnt even in the NHL, he has no worry. At least with Green, he won't ignore his players haha instead be the complete opposite and tell them straight up what he wants from them.

I'd rather have Tryamkin over Benn/Fatenberg. He would be an awesome 3rd pairing or depth.

Ferland agent says he's working out and showing 0 symptoms. Probably a good chance he won't retire through LTIR

True dont follow the canucks enough to all the deets, if thats the case id say they should definitely give him another shot.

Benn/Fantenburg I don't mind as a 6th/7th dman. If Tyramkin comes back Benn is probably gone because 2 mil for a depth dman is too much.

It will depend on what Tyramkin wants. If he figures he can just come back and be handed a spot on the 2nd pairing it is not going to work either.

Tanev or stecher is probably gone.

It would also depend on tryamkin's conditioning and if he is able to play well with Hughes. He's a great skater for a big guy unlike myers so that's probably the only way he would pair into top 4 right away. Canucks defense looks so thin, especially on the right side. Green also doesn't like playing stecher and Hughes together because theyre small.

Nobody will know at this point cuz no one knows what the cap is, and how they're going to deal with this COVID situation. So until that part becomes clear I don't think Benning can do much to figure out anything as of now
