well for 1 this is a pretty general assumption which is wrong
but id assume becasue they feel its classy and arent trying to get drunk like taking shots of straight liquor drunk
men drink wine and women also drink beer ...at least around here

same with beer, i could put a bottle of mass produced "craft beer" in front of her and she wouldnt be able to tell the difference vrs something that is truly micro/crafted
