nothing big though, just a lot of chirping

i can feel the frustration, but that league is retarded.
we have stop time for goals/penalties unless 5+ goal lead.

i can understand its a dick move, but meh whatever if it secured a win i could see myself doing it too, especially if i was mad or trying to piss people off.

however the not shaking hand thing is a little more classless, leave your shit on the ice, during the game, thats hockey.
shake hands like mature men, regardless if you had shit going on in the game.

just my opinion is all.
i have a few pet peeves that get me going too im not innocent by any means.

yeah i get that lol,
but its still a game.

why play to potentially give up a free win? that makes no sense either.
people get competitive, thats just the way sports are, if you don't like it or can't handle it then go play shinny pick up or something.

being competitive is the BEST part of playing a sport, thats what makes it so fun.

at the end of the day, you're still there to WIN if at all possible.
at least anyone ive ever played hockey with is lol

i could argue a true competitor would have lined up and played the remaining 45 seconds out legitimately, for the love of the game

instead all 30 guys on the ice/bench were forced to watch this fat old fuck slowly drag himself to the box and then it was over

at best by the time you lined up, it was truly 50 seconds by the time he blew the whistle,
you may... may have 20-25 seconds to play come drop of the puck.

i mean sure, you could pull of a good win if you played perfectly, and i get you wanted the chance too.
but fuck it, easy win, i wouldn't give it up that easy either.

were we going to win the game? nah

there's less than a 1% chance of that happening barring some sort of miracle

to be denied what should be one of the most exciting points of the game just fucking pisses me off

yeah i get that, im not disagreeing with how you feel, im sure i would be upset too (depending on how emotionally invested i was)
but i could also see myself doing something like this (again, depending on how emotionally invested).

i mean generally when we're down 2-3 goals at sub 30 seconds and something like that happens, we just jump off the bench and call it a game anyways

either way that league is dumb, should definitely be stopped time under 5 minutes for sure, if its a penalty or goal.

Advocating playing like a blow hard and a dbag in a men's beer league.. ooook. Depending on how much he exaggerated his antics, the non shaking of the hand was fine and not near as classles as what he did.


But yeah, those clock rules suck. What he did sucks more. Don't expect him to race to the box, but doing it no slower than a little below average is expected as well

and being a sore loser is definitely more classless than taking buddies time to slowly get into the box.
