It's not true. His contract still isn't signed

Tom Gulitti reports that the Devils are "closing in" on signing free agent forward Damien Brunner.

Would be a pretty logical place for him to sign. Probably 3-4m ish. Wings supposedly offered him 2.5

Volchenkov ?

He's definitely worth 600k but we already have an unstoppable 4th line in Carter Bernier Gionta - so unless that whole line becomes our 3rd line, Kostopo is not good enough to be a 3rd liner imo
Plus if we sign him + Brunner + Henrique + Josefson, we have 16 Forwards.. Gotta move some peeps - definitely Barch but idk about the others



He's probably our worst defensivemen but gets paid the most. I mean he's a relatively large guy (not huge) and is pretty good at blocking shots, but aside from that he's useless.. Greene is one of the most underrated defensivemen in the league and by far our #1 imo - at least until Larsson is fully developed

Yep Datsyuk wanted to retire in Russia really glad he singed on for 4 more years
