With Virtanen being an RFA how much do you think he is worth? He has frustrated me for years. All of the tools are there but it has just not quite come together. This year he has improved imo though. I think it will be interesting in terms of gauging his value.

Rousell is overpaid for sure and I agree with what you said. At least he scored a big goal last game though.

Hard to gauge Jake. Some games he plays by the book, barreling down the wing and generating ton of good shots while winning battles. Other times he's a lamb without a shepherd, chasing the play all night long. I hope we can bridge him for under 3M. He's shown a lot more than in seasons past and it's worth keeping him.

I agree. I would like to see him stick around. I think with his RFA status we will have him resigned at a reasonable rate.

Our F/o and PK isn't as great without him, he and motte are awesome duos.

Sutter can scratch himself though, i literally can't stand watching him anymore. There's SOOOOOOOOOOO many plays he literally kills the play and any momentum the team has, even with so much time and space. Fucking useless. Not even a single decent play, absolutely pathetic. A fucking 42 year old zamboni driver could play better than he did.

Like that CBJ game, taking a bad penalty is one thing when you're trying your ass off and trying to do the hard task assigned by the coach, but taking a dumb fucking penalty cos lazy, chill, got this in the bag mentality that cost the game is shit that needs to be demoted to AHL to learn from scratch. Vet my ass. Fucking Horvat looks like a 40yr NHL

I watched him closely during the Colorado game.

He has a terrible habit of stopping on rushes when there is a good scoring chance. He will mindlessly circle around or wait for another man to join in.... Usually by the time that happens he has coughed up the puck. He is useless. He will be gone soon enough.

Motte brings a high energy game. First game he was back I noticed him. He must piss the opposing teams off. I love the way he rushes towards the puck carrier and gives them no time.

Forgot about some of these trades.

The original plan was to have Dahlen play with Petey at some point lol..... Then he got traded for another prospect. Both of them are playing in division two Swedish league now.

Vanek was a free agent signing so what happened with him does not really matter imo.

The trade that really ended up hurting us was giving up a second rounder for Sven Baertschi. Calgary used that pick to drafted Rasmus Anderson. The Canucks could have had a reliable d-man, but knows if they would have even drafted him had they been able to use the pick.

/e looking at that draft there is a good amount of d-men who are nhl regulars picked in the 2nd round. What a shame.

Baertschi was good tho, definitely worth the 2nd at the time. It's too bad nhl doesn't do shit about dirty plays to the head and he has to suffer concussion

Vanek clicked well with the Sedins and ppl thought it was weird to trade him away for a 4th liner random at the time too
