Hard to do when the refs can't manage the game lmao

Especially when Manson was 3rd player in and took 3 to 4 strides and jumped myers

kinda goes back to your point of our roster being full of overpaid scrubs who are also wusses.

Ironically, myers went after him because he didn't like the hit on Petey, and the dude pussied out against myers of all fking ppl, until Manson jumped him.

38 shots with only 1 goal to show for it.

Canucks were handed a dose of their own medicine.

I try to not to complain about officiating but that was just terrible.....

Product quality is really suffering with overall competence of officiating and a complete lack of consistency when it comes to supplemental discipline.

It's not just the Canucks being picked on. The league as a whole is really struggling to get it right. One can only hope they get their act together before the playoffs.

As for the Canucks - They should have won this game. Losing to the Ducks at this point in the season is inexcuseable at this point in the season regardless of officiating.

They have paid for it now, as they lost the division lead they had for quite some time. This is not a time to falter. I don't care were we end up in the playoff bracket. I just want to make it in. Only 4 points back of a wildcard spot are the Jets and Preds,

Half-hoping we miss the playoffs so Benning's stupid ass can be fired already. Lack of physical play? Bad defense? Durr acquire another soft middling winger that we can't even keep because of Benning's retarded contracts. How TF does he look at the team and think adding a scorer is where the scarce resources should go?

That is the problem. I think Toffoli walks.... I am trying to be optimistic but I just don't see it working out. Maybe he thinks he can replace Ferland's contract with signing Toffoli long term.

physical play will always be a problem for the Canucks. There's really nobody to go after for toughness, unless you're looking for another overpaid terribad contract.
bad defense is more of Green's system, i mean the Canucks defense is still bad but still tenfold better than last season with hutton/stecher playing 30min a game.
Tofolli is pretty legit, definintely a 20goal guy if not 30goal, and is much needed with Boeser being out around 2 months.
I also value the Canucks making the playoffs way more than a 2nd rd draft pick, because i rather this young team have a taste of playoffs & see how tough the games get when it matters late into season when everyone is fighting for the spot. I definitely don't want this team to copy Edmonton where they were bottom feeders for so long and had nothing really to play for toward end of season. If the Canucks dont even make the playoffs this season, without doing anything, it would be such a waste and blow to the team environment.

I get you on the need to make the playoffs this season. But again, that's on Benning on half-assing a rebuild. Now that the roster is transitioning into competitiveness we're hamstrung by so many shitty contracts and a lack of good callups we can't hope to retain deadline acquisitions or pending UFAs.

And even though Toffoli does fill the Boeser gap, is that the hole we needed filled? The team is terrible away from the puck, not with it.

idk his half ass rebuild seems a lot better than most rebuilds done so far throughout the league, the roster is transitioning much faster than anyone expected. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. Especially considering the Canucks was never gifted the 1oa pick like most teams that rebuilt, and had to develop through a 23rd, 5th, 7th overall pick.

It wouldnt have been so bad if Benning didn't get hit with Lu's recapture penalty after the fact.

There's pretty bad contracts, but there's also sick contracts benning got from horvat, miller, pearson etc.
