Sounds like to me, that he wanted more control of the actual team and whose on it. And wasn't getting that. But I'm just as confused as you.

Ultimately, I think everyone saw that Roy's system wasn't working. . But I think what makes a coach good is being able to reset and draw up a new plan and try to execute better. The players talked so highly of him and they wanted to buy into anything he brought to the table. I personally wanted to see one more year out of him. He obviously still had the fire to win in him.
