Fun but unlikely rumors for sens fans

The Ottawa Senators have spoken to the Colorado Avalanche about the availability of forward Matt Duchene.
As reported by Darren Dreger and Pierre LeBrun Thursday night during TSN's "Insider Trading" segment on TSN, Avs GM Joe Sakic reached out to Sens GM Bryan Murray to see if he'd have interest in Duchene.
TFP reported earlier today that several "teams have inquired about forward Matt Duchene's availability, though a trade is not imminent."
According to one source close to the situation, the Avs would want a top-tier defenseman as part of a trade for Duchene.
Duchene, 24, has three-years remaining on his contract beyond this season at an annual salary cap hit of $6 million.
"In talking to people around the League, his name is out there," LeBrun said earlier on TSN.
"Will they trade Duchene for sure? No, it's not 'for sure.' But they are calling teams about him, teams are calling them about him. There's something there."
Dreger added that Sakic reached out to the Senators "about 10 days ago."
"The Senators are intrigued," Dreger said. "But the fit might not be there."
According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, the Senators have defensemen available for trade, excluding Erik Karlsson and possibly Marc Methot, but they would want a team to take back forward Colin Greening as part of a trade.

Ryan Johansen isn't available for trade, per say, but that hasn't stopped teams from calling Columbus Blue Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen about him.
As the Blue Jackets try to climb out of the major hole they've put themselves in, teams have been calling about Johansen, Cam Atkinson and some of the team's other players.
During Thursday night's "Insider Trading" segment on TSN, Darren Dreger reported that while "every player has a price," Johansen isn't likely to be traded.
If a move were to be made, it would be "significant" and include "multi piece(s)."
Kekalainen has admitted to being engaged in multiple trade talks, but a move does not appear to be imminent.
"There was good conversation," Kekalainen told the Columbus Dispatch. "It is so hard to make deals in the league right now, but I think you're going to start to see some movement here soon."
The Blue Jackets would like to acquire a top-four defenseman
