The Canucks really have some things to consider:


Virtanen looks great playing with Miller and Petey. Is this more a product of Miller and Petey making him look good or has he stepped up his game enough to stay there?

If that is the case how does Boeser fit in to the fold?

No chance I would touch Pearson/Horvat/Eriksson. Loui has unleashed Bo as said earlier and looks like a new man playing on that line. They are getting it done offensively while be able to shut down the oppositions best as well.

He is not a 3rd line player obviously.... So what do you do?


Demko was lights out last game against the Blues. Is there another goaltending controversy headed our way? Marky's contract is up. Should he be locked up long term?

Demko's will expire the year after. We can't carry two goalies of this caliber and the upcoming expansion draft further complicates things.


Furthermore with the teams recent success would it be wise to make changes to the roster when players come back from injury? I am not sure how Ferland would even fit in on this team right now despite being one of our big signings.

Also you have to wonder if moves will be made at the deadline if management/ownership believe this team can get passed the first round.

Friedman on Brackett: The fit is important too, what is the role they see for him and what do they want him to do. And what does he want to do. The thing I’ve heard is there may not be an agreement in terms of what the organization sees & what Brackett sees.
