Gold was stable at like 3-5$/ mil for a short time. That was when the getting was good. But abusing the game and mass botting (what could you expect when you have an in game Real money AH) killed the value.

It's levelled out really.. Only shit thing about it is the good items are ridiculously priced. For example, my barbs bracers i paid five billion

lol that is crazy. When I played the very best items in the game were like 2 billion max. And that was for some near perfect weapon rolls. So is a decent find like 50 million now?
