Am I the only one here ewhos excited to see Shea Weber in a habs uni? I like Subban, but really I believe this is a good thing he's gone. SHea Weber brings respect, brings hard play, brinmgs the hardest slap shot in the league. he brings a big body in front of Price. He brings leadership. I dont see how we got fleeced on this one. Webers contract is front loaded NAS paid him most of his money already, we save a million on the salary cap, AND without SUbban and with Weber we get a much better chance at bringing possible UFA's.

WEBER is going to be a beast for you guys for at least the next 4 years.

Subban will be a beast for you guys as well... as long as he doesnt piss people off. which seem to be in his nature. However your ticket price admission will be worth it when he goes all the way for a scoring chance. He will also put up 55+ points easily

I think subban is going to be twice the player in Nashville than he was in Montreal

Much better team and coaching around him. I know fans already hate the move but I wonder how badly management will regret this when they realize subban wasn't the problem

to me, it seems like subban was seflish or something within closed doors, "locker room" stuff we obviously don't know about.
why else would the GM trade PK subban away, after getting calls about him, and denying he's available multiple times?

also the fact that pk said "going to a team that wants me" pretty much sums it up lol
so getting another franchise D like weber isn't bad, i mean dude look at loloilers hall for larsson straight up

now the problem is if Pk subban is willing to change or preds teammates accept for who he is etc.
or if he's willing to listen to the coach, willing to adapt to preds system etc.
wouldn't want new teammates to have a problem with subban after his NTC kicks in either

both teams benefited from this trade

all you need to know is; Therrien at one point played Bouillon/Murray more time than Subban, Therrien wanted to make Subban a <<better person>>. Then you consider the bridge deal which Bargainbin under priced Subban and Molson had to step in to make the deal happen later on..(horrible decision they could of signed Subban in 2013 for 6years/36millions...like S.Jones sort of deal.)

have you ever seen a coach call out his player like Subban for making a <<mistake>> and thats the only reason why they lost? and he benched him when they were 5 on 4? (Against Colorado)

Therrien is an horrible coach that is still stuck in the 90s era; Bargainbin is way over his head as a GM; in four fucking years he still has not addressed the two gaping holes in the top 6; he instead got a 3rd liner in A.Shaw(yeah sure he is good player, but... when you have urgent needs in your top 6, a player like A.Shaw is not your priority...) paid him 3.9mill. That is just horrific when you consider their forwards situation.

Then they trade away Subban; 27years old vs 31years old. IDC< how good Weber is, Subban in every advanced stats is slightly better than Weber now. Bargainbin has shown he cannot make rapid moves because his risks are the likes of signing A.Semin at a PTO for training camp. He is not Jim Nill, Ray Shero, etc, the dude cannot simply make trades to upgrade his top 6 (Got Vanek for 20ish games...and J.Petry whos a servicable #3/4 D) ...<<No nono.,... top 6 players do not get traded, no.>>(thats what he once said to the journalists.)

They basically by trading away Subban cut themselves in a corner of making moves now to win the SC... your cup window is even closer now than it was before(Weber being 31...)

Then you consider that A.Shaw is the first forward that Bargainbin has gotten in four years that will stay in Montreal. Hes a fucking third liner.

Really pissed we didn't bring dale back. Put 10 million into shaw and radulov yet we didn't have 2 mill for dale? Come on now...
