Juicy rumour, but when any gm talks to Yzerman they'll ask about Stamkos. I don't see it happening. Also any deal with Monahan involved is non starter.

Still think Stamkos is going to Toronto :ph34r:

Avs "looking to make a trade" without moving young talent.

Skinner, Riley Nash, liles and hainsey available and or have received calls on. Rumor is that skinner trades haven't taken place because of questions teams have regarding his health (concussions).

Leafs may be on the hunt for a goalie. Jimmy Howard's name has come up but most agree that a move with that much involved is a ways out- like off season at the very earliest. In my personal opinion, the wings are going to have this goalie tandem for at least this complete season barring some extreme fallout of the playoff race.
People have put cam ward's name in the discussion but that was purely their doing. He's available it sounds like but not the solution I believe that Toronto is looking for right now.

Ottawa Sun reports ducks GM Bob Murray may be in hot water if they don't get it together. Though he did just come out and say he's not looking to make significant moves would could of course be posturing.
Reports are that the ducks have entertained calls on Cam Fowler but only to Eastern Conference teams.

Some teams operate on a 10 game basis. That is, evaluate how they are doing every ten games or so. The ducks recently won vs a real team in Nashville so I'm guessing they will see if they can build on that before anything happens. And Getzlaf should be back soon to help them really know what they have.

Cam Atkinson's name is perpetually out there in the rumor mill.

Maple leafs have taken calls on Roman Polak but he's generally a deadline add kind of guy.

As always in a contract year, Eric Staals name has been around a lot but again- he'll never be moved prior to March. They still need to sell some tickets.

We'll probably be speculating on many of these until March or even June. I can see a few defenseman trades before the new year though.
