I hope you flames fans can read this without touching yourselves as its just a rumor at best:

SportsNet's Mark Spector claims the flames are trying to make a "very big deal" for Stamkos who has a no move clause.
As you know, its highly unlikely that he gets moved mid season.
This means that a deal could be to the rights to speak to him prior to July.

Sportsnet reports that the flames have "definitely asked" about Stamkos. I'm sure every team and even some not in the NHL have too though.

TheFourthPeriod speculates that the flames could look at Eric Staal if needed.

They have been said to be dangling Weidman, Russell,hudler, Raymond as trade pieces.
