So far, he wasnt shopping Subban, Poile said to him at the draft first by saying right of the bat "Shea Weber". They finalize the trade this morning.

Interesting. Pete Chiarreli said he never talked to Bergevin for subban. I really think if Poile didnt come to Bergervin with Weber, Subban would have been part of the habs for the rest of his career.

Seriously, I get it Weber is a great player, but he is 31years old, Subban 27. Subban entering his prime, Weber almost out of it. Subban signed til he is 33/34years old, Weber til 40.

At best, make it Subban vs top 6 forward/elite one(like TAYLOR FUCKING HALL)... Again the habs are not a better team short,middle,long term. A.Shaw is a 3rd liner, they still have 2 gaping holes in their top 6 and traded away a prime Subban vs Weber;


and wouldnt matter if Bergevin could have the habs 70s dynasty; Michel fucking Therrien is still the fucking coach. This is the beginning of something very special in Montreal.

Not only is Weber the better player through and through, hes the better person, team mate, role model, and most importantly hes a winner.

Being a winner is tough, Subbans biggest flaw in fact. He never put the team above himself.

With Weber you will potentially have a new captain and have the team flock together instead of dividing one another from each other.
