New arena to be announced on Tuesday. Probably in the west village where Greyhound is right now. Supposedly a multi-sport facility, several rinks, gyms, etc, for the public. Should be fun. RIP Bow Trail and maybe even Crowchild for a good while. Sounds like the Flames will be paying for it, largely no public funds like those Oilers freeloaders.

Apparently, yep. The stampeders would be getting a new field attached to it to supposedly, would be a massive project.

It's not a bullshit scam for public money like Katz, there are plenty of people on board for this project

I don't see it having much trouble being approved, as long as there isn't a problem with the land.

Apparently there are talks that west village may not happen due to environmental concerns but that might be overblown to create controversy
