Habs prospect Magnus Nygren won the Borje Salming award for best dman in SEL. He'll be staying in SEL next season but we'll likely be giving him an ELC and loaning him back, then he'll come over in 2014-15 likely NHL ready. He really improved his defensive game this year and could be another Diaz for us.

Can't really rely on him to make the team though, if he pans out, we'll have to trade a few with Tinordi, Beaulieu, Thrower and Ellis coming up sooner or later...

Diaz wasn't in the plans a couple years ago. Can't feed Morgan Ellis a roster spot if he can't earn it himself. I think Dietz already passed Ellis and Thrower on the depth chart this year. Had an absolutely beast year.
