What? I didn't call anyone a racist lol. I just think most white people don't feel like dealing with this because it's easier to ignore it versual dealing with it. That's not racism

I’d say that’s complicity, and the pro Trump crowd in particular are guilty as fuck.

I'm curious though SP. What were cops supposed to do with Blake? After fighting police, being tased then going to car he grabs for that knife, then what?

At the end of the day there is no simple answer that wouldn't start controversy

Nba ratings are down 40% anyway before this publicity stunt

I'm so over this crap with politics and sports

I was hoping hockey would stay out of this and just play the damn game

This 100%

I was so grateful when hockey returned because it was nice to look forward to something during the week after work.

With all the stress and uncertainty going on in the world taking a break from all the bullshit going on was nice.

Pro sports leagues and the players spearheading the movement look pretty dumb right now as more details are becoming available.

Hes so quick to sling mud. But absolute crickets when asked the tough questions. He'd sooner see cops getting killed by criminals than defend themselves

That’s a profoundly stupid question, and the wrong question

The argument will be that George Floyd was compliant and was still killed via police brutality.

The group of bad apples that demonstrated such poor judgement and murdered a compliant man will haunt all police officers.

Now that there has been such media saturation in regards to incidents of police brutality, incompetence, cruelty and poor judgement all officers are behind the eight ball before they start their shifts.

While it is appropriate to shame and punish officers who clearly act inappropriate it has spilled over to the point competent officers can no longer effectively perform their duties without unjust scrutiny.

I love to see a 'bad' cop go down in flames and get exposed when they get out of line. Accountability of law enforcement is great.

However you now have video that clearly shows a man; who, regardless of background is a known violent offender resisting arrest.

Other methods are attempted first and are either ignored or do not work to subdue the man. Officers, based on the situation and background they have regarding the individual make a quick (but informed) decision to terminate a situation that would

have likely ended in violence toward themselves or other innocent parties had the man in question been able to continue.

What state of mind do you have to be in to think that no harm will be done to you if you ignore a group of officers and resist arrest when firearms are pointed at you after other methods to subdue you have failed?

Based on what I have seen this is 'suicide by cop'. The most likely outcome was to killed and the individual decided to resist arrest, disobey orders, and escalate the situation by attempting to enter a vehicle and reach for an object.

Of course that is what is going to happen.

I swear with the way the media reports the incidents coupled with the narrative and the groups involved it makes me feel like this entire angle is some sort of sick orchestration played out by numerous parties to get us all to turn on each other.

Furthermore the narrative dictates the 'privileged' should have no say in the matter because they don't know what its like to be marginalized. Somehow we should all just feel guilt and shame automatically without questioning anything.

Pisses me right off. Instead of unity we have more divide than ever.

Police have a legal obligation to identify the weapon before they have a right to lethal force.

Cops have a hard and scary job, no doubt, but cops cannot be allowed to use lethal force for reaching outside of their line of sight.

If you live in a country where people who look like you get killed by cops regardless of their compliance why comply?

Did you listen to sheriff? He s calling for the life time jailing of undesirables such as people who have too many children...........
