Can't afford to keep him and Ladd. He's pretty fat and comes into camp in bad shape every year. His body probably won't hold up much longer at his playing weight.
Plus they have Trouba and Myers on the right side of defense. Buff has been playing third pairing dman at ES. Can't afford to give a third pairing guy 6-7+ long term because of his offensive numbers.
