Defense was already a soft spot but now there is injuries as well so they are really getting exposed.

Like what’s going on with Hughes, did Tanev just make him look that good last year?

Tanev was really sound defensively so he bailed Hughes out quite a bit.

Hughes is making more mistakes this year for whatever reason. Maybe the pressure of increased expectations has gotten to him.

He still carries the same speed and ability, it just appears his decision making is not as sharp and he is second guessing himself.


Most of the players on this team are struggling. Best way to end that is to compete with a higher intensity.

Not even close to the same level as hustle and determination compared to the effort during last years playoff run.

Perhaps the players know this year is the throwaway year and have lost motivation. If it was not for terrible signings they would be playing for a deep playoff push. That has to hurt.
