Game 2 was your peak. Maybe your peak was game 5 against the Sharks, but they were well below average defensively, had poor goaltending and should have been knocked out in the 1st round. I believe the Bruins are elite at every statistic except for EVGF.
I dont think your dmen will be able to play repeat their game 2 performance. The Bruins adjusted in game 3 and worked them with their speed. They constantly went wide and cut in. They didn't do any of that in game 2. Yes, the Blues are the bigger and more physical team, but the Bruins can match some of their physicality while the Blues Dmen have no chance against the Bruins speed imo.
I just believe the Bruins skating and puck moving ability is simply too much for the Blues slow, physical and grind it out style.
at 5 on 5, the 2 teams are damn near equals. at that point it comes down to execution and puck luck. at anything other than 5 on 5, the bruins are better.
so the blues gotta keep it 5 on 5 for as long as possible. i think the blues control the game a little better than the bruins at even strength, so if they can do that (a big IF), and binnington gets back to play average to above average, the blues can win the cup.
