Okay this is my PC right now:

GIGABYTE H61M-S2H
Intel i3-2100
GeForce GT 630
4GB Ram


It runs CS:GO at 30-45 FPS in-game

I don't play any other PC game and I don't plan to unless D4 comes out (if that ever happens I'll probably buy something new). Just need something to run CS:GO properly.

What's the cheapest way to fix this? (assume I know nothing about computers)

I would suggest you swap in a better video card. A gtx 630 isn't providing you a lot. You don't have a lot to work with in that processor, stay in the 6-700 series gtx and go with a 670/680/690/760/770/780. Stay away from the x50/x60 and you will likely be bottle necked if you go as high as a 780 or 690

upgrade graphics cardi - at least 750+
upgrade ram - standard is 8gb now.

He doesnt need 8gb of ram to run go

could always turn down your in game settings
i have a 2.8 4 core with 4gigs of ddr2 ram (had 6 but 1 chip died) and a gtx 550
i run like 70-110ish fps on cs go

you have better shit then im running and should be able to get better fps then me



cs go requires 2 gigs of ram lol a 4g machine should be fine
these are my settings luler maybe start with these and see what you can turn up a bit for slightly better looking cs if you want
