Benning says trade discussions with San Jose were not accurate and that the team has not asked Bieksa to waive his NTC.

Don't believe it, that rumour had layers and developments, etc.

I'm assuming the deal fell through completely so now they just want to sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened so both management and Bieksa don't have to answer questions about it.

Hextall says he is hoping to move a contract tomorrow or in the days ahead but today's focus was the draft.

Lebrun reporting that Benning and Wilson couldn't agree on the year for the 2nd round pick.
