I would assume they're still dangling Stastny just because of their C depth in young kids.

I'm not sure what they could get out of him, but if he has a good year I'd expect him to be a trade deadline mover for sure.

GMDT have talked about acquiring stuff through trades, probably talked a lot with avs GM because of 1OA

might try to get him, but IDK


would love him in florida, depending on price ofc


i think problem is that he's too expensive and have a too high cap hit to "upgrade" your 2c/1c at trade deadline for conetnders though

And he's injury laden. That alone would make me wary of getting him.

yeah, but its just a year, he's increadibly underrated and would be great as a 1C on most teams but duchene>>

I think he fits the 2C slot a lot better.
I haven't seen a huge compete level from him since his first 3 years in the NHL

statsny can easily be a ~70-ish center thats sound defensively too

he'd be a very elite 2C if he'd be there

his cap hit at 6.6 is hard to fit

yep, as a trade deadline center

but for a "bad" team like florida, nashville, etc that lacks a 1C and good capspace, i think he can be signed

he also have a contract year which might make him play better
