Also to note, Calgary has already dealt their 2nd round pick to Montreal so if this does go through they would have no picks int he first 3 rounds. Not really something a team in need of a rebuild can afford

This is what I'm saying. I think it's a fine deal to make, but if he walks after 2 years then it's a waste.

I honestly think Colorado would be crazy not to match and either keep him or trade it. Realistically they'd be able to get more than a 1st/3rd for him.
