pisses me off that we have guys like cleary and sammy signed and have to do this to players that have a good future

I don't think emmertons NHL career is going to amount to anything special.
I do understand your point though with sammuelsson cleary etc. I'd rather see them elsewhere.

Im giving both guys a clean slate with a slippery slope this year lol.
The locker room loves cleary so ill give him a shot again.
Samuelsson...well I hope his contract is off the books asap. Let the kids fill out our bottom lines and pick up some specialists to fill the gaps.
In ken hollands defense, they are trying to put a cup team on the ice, not a playoff berth and out team. Every year you hear "well we liked him bc he has some rings and experience and we want that down the stretch" so I guess there is somethin to that.

The good part about having guys like that for one year is, you can expect a trade deadline addition to our roster to bolster the playoff lineup.
That bad side of that coin is that it might cost a couple first round picks for not much...cough...quincey... grrrrr

Nyquist was the only forward we have that can be sent down without needing to clear waivers. Been looking for the rule to figure out exactly why but that's the reason given.

If tatar/andersson/etc were put on waivers they'd be claimed in a heartbeat.
