He will have plenty of opportunity to wack them at the net from the point. It will be good to have another offensive defenseman. Salo was getting old, juice does it all and ballard is crap. Edler and Hamhuis are great but again not very offensive minded.

your right we (most canucks fans) dont know a lot about him, all i know is highlights from games. It will be interesting if he fits.

he's a shut down d-man with top 3 shot in the league (most likely, if he ends up an allstar i'd like to know how hard he shoots.

He greatly benefited from playing with Campbell. early in the year you could see just by position who was who, in the end garrison took the offensive step aswell, joining 2on1s in OT etc

he's very very good defensively and formed the top PK d-pairing in panthers '10-'11 where they went #3 overall or so

We're bringing him in for PP contribution and even strength consistency.
Even strength goals will be a bonus, but his bomb on the PP is where his shot will be needed the most.
He should have Edler + Sedins giving him easy passes to lay into.
We know how good Campbell is. He's beaten us a few times.
