It's not that much, doesn't take that long. Not sure how to do it, never looked into it but I have friends who do it at night and they make full time money in a part time job. You just have to be solid, be able to engage people in conversation but not talk too much, and of course make a few drinks.

I can't really relate to a resume building experience as I've never had to make one. I've only had two jobs ever, and both I got by being related to or being friends with the people there. The first one is construction, and the other was doing side work for a car dealership when I was younger and I wasn't getting many hours for my regular job.

It's just that temp jobs really aren't that good, the temp agencies around here throw you into short term factory shifts, very menial office work, and some low skill jobs like inventory management. Not really anything that makes a difference.

I guess. I mean, the temp work I did was pretty menial bullshit, I just took it on myself to ask questions and do some extra stuff. One place offered me a job but they couldn't guarantee me the automatic raises this current job could. Temp work will let you build relationships in addition to getting some resume building, and it lets you try out a bunch of different things which might be good for dirty if he's suddenly having to take a semester off because he doesn't have interest in the major. If he's not having to 100% support himself, I'd definitely suggest the one that gives some money and has long-term benefits rather than bartending, which might give more money and be more fun but is really only short term benefit.

It really depends on dirty's interests though. In this little discussion we've had I think we've pretty much covered the costs and benefits of each and given some good information for him to make a choice  there are definitely merits to both.

Also not dissing bartenders  great bartenders can earn serious coin, but unless it's your "passion" it's not a long-term solution

As many as 50,000 stray dogs roam the streets and vacant homes of bankrupt Detroit, replacing residents, menacing humans who remain and overwhelming the city’s ability to find them homes or peaceful deaths.

Lol, I got into an argument with a guy on reddit about bitcoin. He was saying it was revolutionizing currency as we know it, and I reminded him there's a larger circulation of canadian tire coupons than bitcoins.

It's OWS all over again.
