Now that I have had some time to gather my thoughts... wait nevermind, still not over the loss ugh :(
Hell of a season, but such a bittersweet way to go. Hats off to the Hawks.

Some questions that will need to be addressed during the off-season, do you guys think it's time to cut ties with Boudreau?
I really do like him as a coach, but idk if I can handle another heart breaking game 7 collapse lol. But really though, he just can't seem to rally the group together to get it done when it really matters in those game 6/7 opportunities.. Really thought this was the year for us!

Keep him. The Hawks will likely win the title, making this two losses in a row versus the eventual champs in 7 games and as they say "ain't no shame in being beaten by the best".

Early extra OTs could easily have gone Anaheim's way, could have left Chicago 3-1 and likely closed it out at home, but shit happened.

I say give it 1-2 more years, see how Andersen responds next year and what they do with their squad after probably losing a few guys. I have faith.

I don't think you change much. Top 4 team in the end of the season, why change anything? As someone mentioned above, those OT games could have all gone in the Ducks favor and the series would have been much different.

even a little change can be the deciding factor and there's always some change

I said change 'much', meant nothing drastic.
No coaching change, no GM change, no major player changes. Sure you add a few pieces (Hawks adding Vermette and Kimonen, as an example)
But other than that, no reason to panic because 3 years in a row lost in Game 7's. Ducks are a hella strong team, if they can just figure it out within themselves they will win a cup

yeah hockey is a mental game. hawks can play relaxed but ducks have too many bitter losses and it makes playing in important games harder
i believe hawks top players are mentally stronger than ducks

Need better defense IMO. Somehow picking up Seabrook would be huge

If the Hawks trade him (possibility), they aren't going to trade him to a West contender.

In my opinion they don't necessarily need to add anything, they could easily have been a championship team with this roster, they just need their players to come of age, this run will likely be hugely valuable to the young guys on the team.

I think ya'll jumping the gun on me with my Boudreau comment lol. Was just seeking some other opinions I think the Ducks should and will keep him.

For sure, the run was an extremely valuable experience for guys like Vatanen, Silf (please re-sign), Lindholm, Andersen, Etem, Rakell etc. Potentially a blessing in disguise tbh
