This. Don't want price as captain. He is already involved in everything a captain has to do and can step up and talk whenever he wants. But let the media talk and everything to someone else and let price focus on the game.

he's probably one of the best leaders

the media already talks to him more than anyone else. he clearly holds the most respect in the room by a long shot. is undoubtedly one of the classiest players on the team.

it would also hopefully encourage him to stay here once his contract is up in a couple years.

so he wont be able to go up to refs and argue a penalty call, big fuckin deal. we have other guys who are more than capable of doing that dirty rat-like work anyway for example subban.

pacioretty is a dirty dishonorable player. lacks class. lacks respect from opposing players. people only want him to be captain because hes our best scorer.

great idea, lets give the biggest cherry picker in the world captaincy to the greatest hockey franchise of all time. watch him have an off season and all of a sudden hes the worst captain in the nhl with no heart.

Gallagher or Subban are my choice

Problem with goalie captains was aired with Lu. Captain can sit on the bench and still lead if he has a bad night, unless he's a goalie and just let in 4 goals in 30 minutes.
Have heard great things about Gallagher's leadership.

doesn't matter who the captain is. they're grown men, professionals and some players just lead naturally captain or not on the ice or off the ice. or are they really that weak? i don't think so
