That's a fair point. If there's truth to the rumour, I think what it really means is they want Ortio as the #1 next year.
I'm fine with them trying out Ortio next year, especially seeing as neither Ramo nor Hiller could hold onto their #1 spot for very long

If we had Talbot as a #1 with Ortio playing at least ~30 - 35 games I think it'd be better for him than to start playing a dedicated 50+
If the Flames are serious about Ortio becoming a starter, it's best to train him and develop his consistency instead of throwing him behind a team like Calgary's and saying good luck.
