Kind of funny how Therrien refused to have an end of season press conference and is rejecting every interview request he gets so far this off-season. Doesn't have an answer as to why Desharnais is being played as a #1 center.

I will never understand drafting guys without big potential in the first round. Juulsen is a project and doesn't have top pairing upside unless he takes PK Subban-like steps forward.

I can't think of a single guy who's developed for us into a good player that wasn't labelled "big potential" before reaching it. Subban was always "good if you can teach him the defensive side of the game". Gallagher was "first liner if you can fix his skating". Pacioretty was "if he can put it together". I actually think in the last two decades Plekanec is the only guy who wasn't hyped before coming to NA. Even a guy like Ryder's issues were they weren't sure his skating would be able to get him into the NHL.
