Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli issued the following update on April 11, on Brad Marchand:

"Brad has been diagnosed with a mild concussion. We will provide an update on his status when appropriate."

Aka, he is fine.

The Buffalo Sabres got unwelcome news Friday morning when they learned defenceman Tyler Myers will miss the remainder of the season with a broken bone in his leg.

Eric Wellwood tore 70 percent of his Achilles and severed three other tendons completely.

Wellwood, 23, played 4 games with the Flyers this season. He is expected to miss the next 9 months, according to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren. That would mean Wellwood would likely be unable to start next season until Jan., 2014.

Holmgren told the Glens Falls (N.Y.) Post-Star that Wellwood’s second surgery required “a lot of work.” Wellwood’s Achilles tendon was 70 percent severed and three other tendons were “completely severed” when his right skate accidentally got caught behind his left leg.

Wellwood’s entry-level contract expires after this season.

Suter is day to day and not practicing this morning. Cullen was practicing but it's going to be a gametime decision if he's going to play or not
