Yep just because you look cheap doesn't mean you are. And it's not being pompous to say you're worth money, to say how much exactly and how much you make, maybe (One thing I'll never do, is tell people beyond my inner circle of friends and family is how much I make). I'm kind of the same way with clothes as you seem to be (Well actually I'm probably cheaper, only places I won't buy clothes from are Walmart and discount stores), I don't dress to flaunt money, I'll buy just regular clothes at Sears or some normal clothing store. Yet you get judged for it by certain people of high status. I find these people tend to be upper-middle class pretending to be insanely wealthy, which is sad.

Not around here lol. In a town where the average government worker makes 90k and that's on the low end of the professions in the area, if you aren't fit or don't have a high thread count you're judged. People drop 90 per for OCBDs without a second thought

Fit, fitness, thread count, haircut, hygiene, white teeth, a tan, and the ability to match styles. That's all you need to be successful here..... lol. Arm candy doesn't hurt either
