what would ur guys reaction be if, we traded lu and lu ended up in the finals again with his new team? win or lose. Meanwhile, Schneider struggles after playing 40+ games and the nucks get kicked out 2nd round in playoffs? will the media and fans treat schneider the same way as lu?

j/w

If he makes it against a team that's not us, I'll cheer for him.
He has moments of brilliance where he's one of the best in the game.
If he can figure his shit out in a smaller market that would be best for him.

Media and fans always rag on goalies in this city; we are known as the 'goalie graveyard' for a reason. If Schneider has a bad start expect many fans and media members to swarm him right away with bad thoughts and press.

Been rumored for a while now.

As long as the players are okay with taking in a pest that has been vocal about his dislike for the Canucks and their players on a somewhat personal level, I'd welcome him with open arms. Higgins - Bolland - Hansen would make a great 3rd shutdown line and he could play on the second PP.

Seems far-fetched, though.

I honestly don't think we'd keep Bolland because of the things he has said.
Hopefully package him and Raymond off somewhere for a 3c upgrade if it ends up happening.
Albeit Bolland is probably one of the better 3c's in the league

Top 5 easily, and will fill in for Kesler while he's injured.

Surprised they don't get rid of one of Hossa / Sharp / Kane instead... Bolland's role is pretty important. Seems like they could make do offensively without 1 of the big 4 up front.

they are worth too much compared to luongo

maybe in a big ass package deal, and i think all of them got non-trade

and it'd be a lose-lose for blackhawks because they are all allstars

Well yeah, the Canucks would have to add.

Just seems like they'll still have enough fire-power with 3 of the big 4. Bolland agitates and shuts down the other team's best players while adding a decent amount of offense, I would think he's more valuable to them.

Also, Kane's NTC only applies in 2014/15, Sharp's is limited (I think) and Hossa doesn't have one at all.

Although I would be very happy with Bolland, either 1 of those 3 playing on Kesler's wing would be amazing.

But this is all wishful thinking; getting the feeling we're going to get very little in return for Luongo.

Bolland has more offensive skill than it seems. He plays a defensive forward/pest on a team stacked with high scoring forwards (Toews Kane Hossa Sharp etc..) If given the chance I think he could surprise many with his offensive abilities. He was a scoring beast in junior and from what I have seen is a capeable 25 goal scorer in the right situation + his obvious defensive ability and elite 'pest' status. As far as what the lock room would think, I would hope a group of pro athletes could shrug of dome disparaging comments knowing that if this guy came to Van he would make us a much better team. I agree agree that it is wishful thinking tho... do not see this happening.
