Makes sense. Helps the cap problem and the future in a deep draft.

Also looks like Dougie Hamilton's agents may be looking for $6-7m/yr on the new deal. So 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 2 1sts, a 2nd, and a 3rd to offer sheet him. Pretty steep.

The crazy part is that Sharp is actually expandable with Teravainen and Saad tearing it up. Hawks always have a way out of cap hell.

Plus Panarin sign with them for free and Reilly might.

Florida's picking too high, I really don't think Sharp will get better than 15 overall in this draft... maybe a three-way trade could work though. Sharp would really round out Florida's top six if they could make it work.

Huberdeau - Barkov - Jagr
Sharp - Pirri - Hayes

On paper they'd be a playoff team, their defense is pretty solid.

Pens also publicly stated they aren't trading Malkin, so it'd have to be a really juicy deal for it to happen this post season if it does.

Don't want him.

Injuries, bad attitude at times, doesn't show to big games, and he is such a whiny bitch.

Send him to PHX

It'd cost way too much for sens IMO. Their pick isn't great this year and although the prospect pool is deep it's not deep enough to give up what it takes for Malkin. No one has the value except a non-contender, and Malkin's not going to Edmonton.

Pittsburgh will be under new ownership soon, and that could be the deciding factor
