I'm actually hoping this ends tonight... i have lost faith on this team. 1 man show. Summer signatures/trades/wait is only going to get my hopes up for next year which will be good.
That 1.1 seconds goal last night was just a dagger.
The general feeling this whole series was a re-iteration of the fact that we can not score worth shit.
All year long it's been the story-line. Low goal games, low numbers, high save percentage by Price.
Then comes the playoffs, where we're facing teams with fire under their asses and producing offense in great numbers, while we're still playing October hockey as Price tries to save the day.
There's a number of trades that need to happen, and some build-ups but of all people that should go it's Subban and Markov. Neither of which will go anywhere.
Markov is making sloppy choice, and getting older. Subban gets great offensive numbers every year, but he's sacrificing the need to be defensive, and Price is left to hang too often.
Pleky is no Malkin but damnit that man is ALWAYS in the right spot. He's the best positional player out there.
Galchenyuk and Gallagher are untouchable just yet because they're growing so much more as players.
Weise is just too cluch when we need him to get rid of.
I'd hate to be the GM right now because they'res some tough calls to make on who to trade. But for the salary cap and gaping hole in defense we have Subban has just got to go.
