I dont care about any of the other things. Last year he wasn't your problem. The biggest reason you made it to game 7 of the scf is rask.

If you want to hold a personal vendetta, fine. But if you want to hold who was most responsible for game 7, look towards your top line being horrid at 5v5 all series and binnington going god mode.

Yea lots of different ways to interpret it

One goalie came through clutch and stood on his head to win a cup one didn’t

I simp for goalies and Rask has been my goalie to cheer for for a while, I will criticize as I please.

Thats fine but ill call you out for not criticizing players who had a bigger reason for the game 7 loss. I get it; its easy to blame the goalie because its easier judge him individually than the skaters.

Marchand (and the whole first line) sucked in the series.
Chara had a broken jaw and wasn't the same because of it.
Binnington absolutely stole the show in game 7 (but subsequently wasn't great in 2 other games in the scf).

One team has to win and one has to lose. Using a single game sample and saying "see, x player choked it all away" is too simplistic for a game like hockey

Rask >

Bruins fans will be sorry when he's gone

Hopefully Vladar will be ready soon. May have to sign an old veteran like Fleury or Holtby to take Rask's spot if he retires this year or next year (or goes to a diff team ofc)

Sure

But you’ve blown this completely out of context

I said Rask should’ve had something to prove after duffing on two goals in four shots in a scf game seven, in my remarks I never criticized his over all playoff performance or anything else, just that he should’ve wanted this more but he came out soft and left the team in the middle of a series, as a Rask fan I am disappointed in his inability to win the last game of the year

Of course losing one of the beat goalies of the last decade would hurt

Not sure why I can’t criticize one of my own favourites for disappointing me again and again

Half of Boston hates Rask and half loves him, with a mixture ofc

I will forever defend tuukka but him not having a cup as a starter rips him
He's 100% off the hook for me for how he played last year tho, he was unreal. All of my blame goes to our top guys for losing to STL

Whats the hype around Vladar?

I don't think he will ever become a legit #1 goalie. I know there's not enough sample size but he reminded me of Thomas McCollum in his first game former 1st round draft pick of the Red Wings. And we know how he turned out

And I was saying he had nothing to prove with regard to his 1st period game 7 performance last year because he was outstanding all postseason and wasn't at fault for either of those goals.

He's just all we have when Rask is gone really lol, my expectations for him are not high.
Only seen him play that one game the other week and his angles and positioning was more than questionable, but it's early for him still
Can't be worse than Malcolm Subban

Yea well if I let 2 in on 4 shots I would want a retry it’s called being competitive regardless of how they went in, they went in
