There was a lot of issues with this team against tamba, very low scoring and no Rask so it was doomed

I like Krug and what he brings, we need a deadly pp and puck mover, there are gaps on every team it’s more about coverage and positioning if anything

If he goes he goes but his scoring impact is always needed and there are at least a couple dozen teams that would be interested

Our core is aged and didn’t have it in the post season, our top guys didn’t score enough and that hurt the team as it relies heavily on their dominance to win

Agreed that Carlo doesn’t seem to be taking steps forward, but McAvoy looks better and better

Halak just didn’t have it in him to be old playoff god Halak and Rask just doesn’t have the mental fortitude to take this team where it needs to be I think. I’m a Rask fan but this was a huge let down, he should’ve had something to prove after choking on less than a half dozen shots to lose game 7 last year and he had no response

I want to see Chara play forever but I think his days are come to an end, I’m very curious to see where captaincy goes after he’s done.

Coyle and Kase are two very bright spots on our forward group

I think there will be a few hard years of the team is going to continue to rely on top line scoring

I get being let down by rask this postseason, but what exactly did he do (or didn't do) last year in game 7 or any game for that matter?

Guy was your best player lol. The so called "perfection" line got stuck on parayko island and was a net negative for you at 5v5 in the series. Thats why you lost, not rask.

Do it sissy. I agree with most of what’s been said in here besides that tbh.

I get he’s a solid skater and can move the puck but I haven’t seen him have the impact a player like him should have. Something is missing. You can live with the mistakes he makes if he has that Krug level impact on offense. Just don’t see it ever happening. I’d rather let gryz go, play a youngster like lauzon(who I think will be a solid d man in the nhl) every day and resign Krug. Hate to say it to you guys, but Krug is as important to this team as any player besides bergy. Not just his play either.

He let in 2 goals in the first period on less than a half dozen shots, like 4 I think

The bruins were swarming up to that point

I’m not saying his performance in the playoffs overall wasn’t amazing, but that’s the second time he’s given up 2 quick goals to blow the game in the clutch in the finals and lose

I think you need to look further into the "why" behind the 2goals he let in. Regardless of how many shots, the goals he allowed weren't on him. One was an exceptional tip by ror and the other was a horrid play by Marchand.

There's a difference between the other goalie being better and rask being a problem in game 7

This. Tuukka isn't why they lost game 7. Although he does have a history of not being clutch when it's the most important moment

Yea man the blues were just so good that’s why

I’ll just forget about Tuukka choking a 3-0 series lead in 2010

Blowing a game 6 lead to lose the cup in 2013

Allowing 2g on nearly 0 effort in 2019

Plays soft as fuck and leaves the team mid series in 2020

I’ll just ignore a decade of not getting it done in the clutch because Ryan oreilly scores on a deflection, thanks for the advice

I dont care about any of the other things. Last year he wasn't your problem. The biggest reason you made it to game 7 of the scf is rask.

If you want to hold a personal vendetta, fine. But if you want to hold who was most responsible for game 7, look towards your top line being horrid at 5v5 all series and binnington going god mode.
