ya this is the mentality. It is impossible to eliminate hacking in a game when you have a direct real money system to sell botted gold and items. Blizzard gets a big cut so they turn the other way for the most part imo. It is a business, the primary goal is to make money. I still find the game fun, but other games are also pretty good. If the hacking is not dealt with people can farm/bot all they want, less and less people will play, more and more will bot, less and less will buy stuff for real money etc etc. It will crash on itself in time unless the botting is dealt with. It is just a shame to see so many individuals in the hockey forum willingly abusing, or wanting to know how to abuse the game knowing it will weaken the enjoyment for those who want to play legit because they like playing the game. If I burn out and do not like D3 anymore tons of other games can replace it. Lots of you seem tired of D3, and if you are I would recommend giving path of exile a try it is only $5 to sign up for the beta right now, or you can win keys/signup for a free one if you are lucky. The game will be free on its release. It has many characteristics of D2 with some really cool new ideas that they came up with all rolled into one. The graphics are decent and there is lots of interactivity. Give it a try if you are bored.... Also guildwars 2 is coming out in a month or so (aug 28th i think) and that game looks pretty wicked. All in all there is tons of alternatives, so those of you who complain how bad this game is have plently of alternatives; so no big deal right? I still think the game is fun but if I burn out because it becomes stale or the botting/abuse problems get worse no biggie. That being just remmember diablo 1.0 first release compared to d2 1.13c.... completely different game. Game has its problems but it is overall a well done game, problem is d2 set the bar so damn high lol.
torchlight is like d3 except done right
