Here in the USA they CAN NOT have a real lock down but THEY CAN have HOURS where only certain age of people can go to.
For example. In my state. They have hours where elderly can shop. They do NOW allow public gatherings of any type.
Real lockdowns in the USA will basically mean everything closes down except groceries-food places - hospitals ect. lol.
It's not like china where they have military and cops at every grocery and in the streets. They respond to reports when people are outside acting dumb.

THE usa on real lock down would require military to come out of all bases with PD. WE would have to make sure no one goes outside and we would have to hand out food and watcher via military on every major street.

It's basically just like that 1918 flu or whatever but not as bad because it's 2020 and our government can go crazy and go into wartime mode and have everyone work towards the effort. Back then they were just fucked. lol. However, the population now days is fucking so high. So we can see 5-10 million deaths fairly easy if we don't continue to lockdown.
In the future at any moment... Anyone could walk into any kind of wild animal and get a coronavirus similar to MERS and covid-19. We have officially found that covid-19 long lasting incubation period monster. That with a mix of mers and you are so screwed as humankind. lol.
It would almost be as bad as ebola cause you can actually stop ebola effectively if you do something about it. A baby from mers-covid-19 would fuck our ass so hard while we work towards a vaccine.
The next bug that is similar to both mers+covoid-19 WILL NO DOUBT 100% kill dozens of millions before we can find a vaccine. Can we stop it before millions die? Yes, but IF a person gets sick and it takes 14 days for symptoms....we could see complications lol. it could take anywhere from like 3 days to 40ish days for a doctor to catch it and put everyone on alert. Cause that first person could be fine with the virus but he spreads it to 4 people and it needs another 14 days to make people sick and we can only hope those 4 people will get tested. If not then those 4 infects MORE and we have to wait up to another like 14ish days. So if you miss these periods and the new year comes and a few infected people fucking flies out across the world...you will 100% have outbreaks. So now you will have to have losses but how many?
Our healthcare workers are all taught to watch out for crazy flu strains or viruses. Basically ones that attack out respiratory system :). that's just how it works. So even IF we train our doctors....we usually wait for like 10 people in your hospital to have super bad respiratory illnesses after pneumonia or something to start TESTING. SO by then that coronavirus could spread. So what i'm saying is you can not prevent the initial outbreaks until that first doctor warns people and is taken seriously.
After that if you dont start TESTING and lockdown positive areas...you will have outbreaks.

In the future...if that crazy bug comes....we either have to be lucky and catch it early and go all in with testings or we will lose dozens of millions before a vaccine comes out.
This is real and it comes a lot faster and sooner then any other disasters that wipes out large portions of humans.

I agree, it's actually not bad at all. It's concerning because of long carry time and no vaccine for it yet. So it's very contagious, and it's not like ebola where it's up to 90% fatality. If it was high like that, the spread won't be as large because ppl with it end up just dying.

Countries like Germany and S.Korea make it seem like this shit is ezpz to deal with until they find a vaccine whereas most countries aren't prepared for this shit. Went to the grocer for fresh food, there was a real run at the meat section. Chicken breast tho, still there even tho the price isn't terrible.
