You can have 10000 shots and score 1 , while the other team can have 3 and score 2 . Who wins? The team with 3 shots. This is why shots have no factor, other than the fact you need at least 1 to win.

Canada came in too much aggressive, may be a little overconfident or even out charged for the game.
Too many shots = nervousness
