Babcock to Philly would be entertaining. Would make for the biggest shift next year, as opposed to another meh Detroit season, Toronto being bad, and Edmonton being Edmonton, despite his best efforts.

The thing that makes me pretty sure hes leaving detroit is the whole free reign over his roster thing. I think he got more say as the season progressed but Holland just doesn't want to let anyone go, ever. Babcock LOVED Nestrasil and Holland chose to put him on waivers instead of cleary or andersson who wouldn't be picked up anyway.

Yeah. There are a handful of guys like ouellet, marchenko, Pulkkinen, ferraro, Athanasaiu who babs wanted to play but couldn't because of the roster issues.

Id be satisfied with McLellan.

yeah but now with some cap space and such hextall will likely be icing the roster babocck would likely want
except umburger i dont see how anybody would want him
hextall doesnt want to rush guys but its getting really close to the point it wouldnt be rushing to bring them up
