d2 had a lot of skills but how many of them were actually used? they added synergies to make use of them towards the end which phased out the other ones that were used before
the game set up tho i dislike too wtf no waypoints? only do 1 act in the game? it wouldnt be as bad if u had a wp could get 5 stacks n go farm all the bosses... but u cant even do that
Every game has skill balance issues. But not only does this game have skill balance issues but you can't even really choose your skills. You're handed a skillset and told to go do something with it, no customization whatsoever. You don't get to spec a fire sorc and forego ice. If a cold sorc/wizard is the best dmg output that's what you do. Same with the items - there's no hoto, no slow on hit, nothing actually unique about the legendary items except they have more stats. It's a constant cycle of using items to farm better items to farm better items for that extra 5 strength on your gloves.
All in all diablo 3 just feels generic. There's nothing unique about the game whatsoever. It's world of warcraft from a top down view and not *massively* multiplayer.
