If I were him I'd go to Edmonton. Teams like San Jose and Philly aren't much ahead of the Oilers. McDavid will turn that team around in a couple years by himself.

His family might not wanna live there though lol.

lol? flyers are so far ahead of the oilers wtf did you smoke from rob fords crack pipe?
even sj but sj problem is their age marleau and thornton aint getting any younger and thornton is having issues with the team who knows what goes on there with that situation

well how do you figure they are ahead of philly?
when it comes to forwards oilers got some pretty solid guys but giroux and voracek are elite + we got young talent too shit couts is 22 schenn 23 giroux 27 simmonds 26 voracek 25 a much better variety of players too
flyers d is prob the worst part of the team but with the prospects we got coming+ potentialy more added this draft that wont be like that for long ..the oilers have who nurse there waiting on? he wont save their d
goalies... not sure how the oilers prospect situation is but i know their nhl situation is no where near the level mason is and flyers got a promising prospect in stolarz developing

oilers are stacked up fornt and super lacking everywhere else flyers are stacked up front with a goalie and the fix for the D on the way

If I were him I'd go to Edmonton. Teams like San Jose (lots of holes, especially in net) and Philly (next to zero defense) aren't much ahead of the Oilers. McDavid will turn that team around in a couple years by himself.

He'd be the coach that brought the Cup back to Canada after like 25 years.

His family might not wanna live there though lol.

Also,

In terms of approximate value:

McDavid = Giroux
Hall = Voracek
Eberle = Simmonds
Draisaitl = Couturier

(Schenn blows)

And that doesn't even include RNH, who is (IMO) their best player currently. The Oilers also have a few good young D-men. The only thing they don't have that the Flyers do is a starting goalie.

Well the recent comparables for McDavid are Crosby, Lindros, Lemieux and Gretzky and they didn't exactly bust so I'm just going to assume, like pretty much everyone else in hockey, that he'll be at least a 1C.

Babcock has a "win now" mentality wich fits more with Philly GM and owner and less with Edmonton

Read Friedman article he ranks the teams chances / fit in his 30 thoughts its a good read

rnh who you feel is arguably their best palyer is playing his natural position getting 1st line mins+ opportunities and only put up 10 more points then crap ass schenn in his wrong position bouncing around the lines
yeah schenn totaly sucks or maybe it was more berube trying to force something that isnt there and still got 50p out of him

Draisaitl does not = Couts. The rest I can kinda see an argument for(saying McDavid pans out, which is hard to believe he wouldn't.) But Couts is one of the best defensive forwards and is showing that under the right offense, can score too.

And the Flyers have a lot more young D-Men coming up than Oilers. And that whole Goalie thing is kind of a big deal. Who are the Oilers going to pick up? I doubt Hammond goes there.
