The leafs without signing tavares would have been able to keep kadri, kapanen and johnson and add the grit they desperately needed on the 4th to pass the 1st round and protect their star players. Signing tavares forced them to pay matthews and marner more than they would have without the tavares.

Your gm fucked your team completely with a single signing and you still cling on the hope of passing the first round with a core that didnt win a single round that cost over half the cap

Pretty sure that your top 6 is great during regular season but im also pretty sure that they havent passed a single round in playoffs and that they arent the players that will bring you a cup.
