If it's "extremely difficult" for someone not to be abusive or racist or just a douche in general then they need to find help ASAP.

Doing any of these things is not a slip up, it's just being a bad person lol.

Peters has gone far beyond slipping up.

Now that these comments have been verified by others while other allegations have also surfaced a clear picture has been painted.

This is not just one outburst. His entire character has been exposed. I want to make it clear I don't support this man. He clearly has a lot to answer for during his career. This is most likely just the beginning.

What I mean is the bar has been set. The standard has been raised to the point that near perfection will need to be attained in an atmosphere that is driven by emotion and a win at all costs mentality.

Anything deemed abusive (verbal or physical) will result in dirty laundry getting aired out in public.

What goes on beyond closed doors will no longer stay there. Clear cut racism should never be tolerated - but I think the bar has been set much higher than that now in this age.

One ill-mannered comment or poor decision now has the power to bury someone if their job is under public scrutiny.

That kind of pressure of slipping up once, or even being misinterpreted is enough to have you shown the door.

That is what I mean when I say the job will now be extremely difficult. A coach will need to now motivate players without a shred of abuse while expressing sound judgement at all times.

The previous code of what is said in the room stays in the room is now gone. The game has changed entirely.

could you really get fired for that?

players fight to wake up the team

The accusations are him literally hitting the players outside of the ice. That was the charge Michal Jordan made and it was corrobated by others.

is he going to draft a separate letter for the physical beating accusations?

Just letting you know,

There is a rule in Hockey, unike any sport, where fighting is literally allowed.
