You have no idea what it's like here in Alberta. Liqour stores are privately owned. Not government regulated. There is literally a liqour store every 3 blocks in any direction.
Also, these stores do there own liqour delivery after hours even.
Drunk late at night but need more booze? Call up store and they deliver.

Ontario just catching up with the times!
