Most non-apple places will be similar to what Caedus is saying. They'll use a lower quality part and the repair guy is gonna try to crank it out as fast as possible to move onto the next one. The soldering if there is any may be very sloppy and I doubt the testing will consist of much more than making sure it turns on and you can press buttons - when you replace a screen on anything nowadays there's a lot that can get fucked up if you don't do it right since everything is basically glued to everything else inside most devices.
And again, I did the research for my Samsung not long ago. Every 3rd party place around here has 3 stars and almost every rating of 3 stars or lower is because an apple product had a screen replacement that failed shortly afterwards.
There's another place on google that has like 5 stores in Toronto, all decent reviews online from what I can see. Decent as in 5s

They advertise a ton on Toronto area radio.
They gotta be half decent I'd think? There's a few others that are the top on Google as well.
1 has 60 day warranty and more warranties for other repairs. Would have to call for others
