Fuck me, I'm making chili and used carolina reaper. Laid down plastic wrap on the counter and wore gloves but it looks like while I was cutting I put a hole in the glove and touched the pepper.

Just scratched my nose and now it's numb. Thank god I didn't rub my eyes.

Chili smells fucking amazing though.

I know a guy who did that once... not rub it out but he went to pee right after doing a hot wing challenge without gloves. ALWAYS WEAR THE FUCKING GLOVES PEOPLE.

Yeah dude, anything hotter than habanero you should really use gloves. I have a special cleaner I use on my counters and a special soap to wash my hands. Not the kind of stuff you'd find in a grocery store, I make a lot of hot sauce and sell it to friends/coworkers so I ordered some.

It's a lovely ingredient for anything with a liquid base like stews, soups, and chilis. Great flavor, mostly made of water so most of the volume boils away which prevents thinning, and it's sold in quantities such that you'll have some left over for yourself



Just had my last taste test and made final tweaks. An hour of simmering left.
