there was no one else on the streetcar and he was a good distance from the officer with a knife not a gun, that threat wasnt immediate

they didnt try to taze him until he was dead.....

It also depends on whether the cop can identify the weapon. There was a crazy dude who blocked 3 lanes of traffic waving something around on my way home once. I definitely thought it was a screwdriver and would've run the fucker over if he'd come at me. I think it was like a candle lighter or something else inconsequential.

Sounded like the cop in toronto was a cut and dry abuse though.

they tazed him after he was shot you can see it on the video

not a good use of the point of a tazer

even if its a legally permitted weapon it doesnt mean its not a threat to the police if anything it means more of a threat becasue they are trained with it


i saw a video of a black guy from like texas who had a gun got pulled over and recorded the whole thing
went super smoothly guy did what the cop asked told him he had a gun with a permit to carry etc etc then said according to media id be shot dead
he pretty much made the video as proof that you dont get shot when reacting properly

e: that guy in toronto was on a public bus with a knife and was threatening people
if u have a knife on a public bus and threaten people you almost deserve to get shot for being a fuck tard
but then again if he was to come off the bus drop the knife the cops coulda moved in for the arrest...did he? no so its the cops fault right?
i mean look at the guy that had his head cut off on a greyhound becasue he fell asleep and some crazy fuck had a knife

It's far too easy to get a gun in the US. I read an article written by a guy who worked at a gun shop that the ATF was using to track guns being bought for mexican cartels.
They let the guys buy like 50 high powered tank-killing sniper rifles before they actually made a move, by then the guns had been distributed to lackeys and all they got was the guy who was providing the money to buy the guns.

You can be crazy and totally willing to kill a cop and still have a record that allows you to get a gun with no issue.

Cops dont get to kill people because they "deserve to die" the threat to civillians was done when he was shot.
